Our Rankings & Methodology

Data and information for our rankings are derived from the National Center for Education, official college and university websites, and other college ranking sites like U.S. News & World Report

These lists were compiled by researching publicly available data from a variety of sources in order to derive a useful tool for prospective students.  Our editors have made use of the following criteria in deriving program rankings:

PROGRAM CRITERIA – 50%
Example:
How is the delivery of the online program? Easy to use program, asynchronous, flexible, etc.?
What are the retention rates of the program as a whole, online or campus?

ANCILLARY SERVICES – 30%
Example:
How are the programs career services? ie, do they offer job finding tools, career counselors, etc?
How does the post-graduation job placement rate from this program compare to others?

SCHOOL CRITERIA – 20%
Example:
School accreditation/s and other outside recognition?
What is the acceptance rate of school and program?

  • All information is cited from the unbiased, independent NCES.gov’s College Navigator
  • To ensure our rankings methodology cannot be duplicated without our knowledge, we have withheld some aspects of the calculations. Please contact us at the email address provided below for more in depth calculations and criteria
  • Our sponsored schools are paid advertisements that are not affiliated with our site’s individual school rankings.  They are clearly defined with the word “SPONSORED” as to not confuse our readers with what has been methodologically researched and ranked by our site editors and researchers as compared to the independently sponsored schools that pay for their placement on our site. For more information regarding our rankings or our sponsored schools, please email us at LINDA.WEEMS210@GMAIL.COM.

We believe that providing students with a ranking built around consensus views in the public domain is an incredibly useful tool.

Of course, this guide is only one tool in preparing you for your journey towards selecting a college that is right for you.  Nothing takes the place of visiting each schools’ websites yourself and requesting information to be sent directly to you for your review.
