I was born in the small town of Sewanee, TN, where I went to preschool, elementary school, high school, and college. In fact, my alma mater, Sewanee: The University of South, has been listed on numerous BMD indexes as one of the country’s hidden gems!
Now I live in Portland, OR, with my lovely wife, Emily, who is a nurse. I have a dog (Bertram), a cat (Ivan the Great), a koi betta (Ruth Betta Ginsburg), an African dwarf frog (Eunice), and three snails (The Supremes). During the day I work full-time as a sign language interpreter, but have been writing for BMD since 2014. In my free time, I enjoy walks, books, movies, video games, and spending time with my little family.
